I was not a big fan of oatmeal in the mornings because I felt it was boring and didn’t have much flavor, but one night my mom made me overnight oats and I realized that it could be a LOT better tasting and a LOT easier in the morning. You can change this up to make it more or less healthy which is a great recipe to have on hand!
Ingredients:
- One glass jar with lid
- 3/4 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 cup milk (I use 1% but any kind is great)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chia seeds (optional but definitely recommend)
- 1 tsp flax seeds (optional)
- As much fruit as you want, I like blueberries and strawberries but apples and cherries are great!
Directions:
- Grab your jar and pour in all of the ingredients above. Cover the jar with your lid and give it a little shake to get everything mixed together. Leave in the fridge overnight and grab it in the morning. Enjoy!
- I also like to add more milk sometimes to make it less thick but you can always add more in the morning.
